The semantics I want is: - use the Cabal-built objects/hi files in dist/build if they're fresh enough - interpret the source otherwise.
Is that possible?
I think the -odir and -hidir options will help e.g. -odir dist/build -hidir dist/build

I tried these too, no luck.
I've done this myself (though my objects were built by my Makefile, not by cabal) and it works fine for me. Note that once something has changed, everything that depends on it will be interpreted, even if it wouldn't actually need recompiling. Not quite sure what you can do to debug it if it's not working for you though :-( Ganesh =============================================================================== Please access the attached hyperlink for an important electronic communications disclaimer: http://www.credit-suisse.com/legal/en/disclaimer_email_ib.html ===============================================================================
