I still get the same allocateExec error. I'm still not sure how updating configure.ac in ghc and making clean was going to help :-).
duh, sorry - you do need to autoreconf and configure of course. Next time I'm obviously talking rubbish, please feel free to ignore me! Cheers, Simon
