I withdraw my suspicion against the threaded RTS under linux. I was able to provoke also ghc-6.4.1 being killed by the OOM-Killer (when no swap space was left). The process state of ghc-6.4.1 seems to be more often "uninterruptible sleep", though. Cheers Christian
