I don't think I will have a Linux laptop available on Hackathon weekend, will windows be ok? I have installed a lot of Haskell packages but there were some that I couldn't configure to install because of some dependencies. I tried MSYS and Cygwin. Please let me know if Linux is required or strongly recommended.
No particular OS is required. It isn't even strictly required to have your own computer. You can help other people with their projects even without hacking yourself ...
