I might go to BERLHAC if there's free cake.

hi all,
since i won't be able to make it to philly, but really wanted to attend, i thought maybe it would be fun to spread this event over two time zones? i have office space (decent internet, projector, etc.) in the heart of berlin for about five people; if more are interested, we could keep looking for something bigger.
i guess you could argue that the point of hackathons is to avoid having more technology (video talks, conference lines, chat) in the way of communication, but at the same time i would like to gather some more experience with holding distributed events. i think it can be done.
but before i start advertising, i would like to ask you organisers and attendees: how do you feel about the idea? would you like to link up with us if i find people to attend in berlin, or would you prefer me to stay out of your way?
looking forward to reading your thoughts, cheers, matthias
PS: in case that makes a difference: i'm interested in working on snap, but you should probably count me into the watch-and-learn category among the attendees.
