[Haskell-cafe] Google Summer of Code?

Hello Cafe, I'm currently considering applying for the Summer of Code. Johan Tibell's idea of improving the Hackage login system [1] looks compelling, since I have worked with Happstack before [2]. Is there enough time to start a proposal? I know it's a bit late now -- but I would very much like to participate.
