How is this better than installing GHC from

http://www.haskell.org/ghc/download_ghc_7_8_3 http://www.haskell.org/ghc/download_ghc_7_8_3

and then getting cabal install from

http://www.haskell.org/cabal/download.html http://www.haskell.org/cabal/download.html

The ghcformacosx installs some man pages apparently, and it's just one step; any other advantages?

Also what’s the difference from the homebrew formulas for ghc and cabal-install? Bye, Nicola
