Bulat is apparently not alone in this belief. I seem to spend all my time on other forums dealing with people who have exactly the same opinion. Of course, being able to come up with clean, elegant code which never the less performs well is a good way to counter this. Pity I haven't succeeded in producing any yet. :-S
