In particular, GHCi has a custom linker for loading compiled code. This linker is very fragile and tends to break whenever the platform GCC/linker changes. It's a GHC bug and will be solved in GHC 7.6.2, according to: http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/7103
