[Haskell-cafe] Question regarding Candidate Package builds

Is there any information on what kinds of checks happen on candidate packages that are uploaded. There was a cabal error on a published build. So, I have fixed that and have uploaded a candidate package. I was hoping the same build/checks happen on the candidate package, but I have not seen that happen.
