It's ok to have soft and hard upper bounds, but it should be always possible to ignore both - having a separate ignore option for each - without modifying the cabal file. I've the confidence, that most cabal users should be able to handle this. Nothing is more annoying if you know what you're doing, but don't have the power to do it. Greetings, Daniel
