If it's a function, you can use guards: foo :: ... foo something somethingElse | something -> putStrLn "howdy there!" | somethingElse -> putStrLn "howdy ho!" | otherwise -> ... -- Früher hieß es ja: Ich denke, also bin ich. Heute weiß man: Es geht auch so. - Dieter Nuhr
