Both of these roles are called "mentor" in the Google system. Putting together a good team of mentors before applying as an organisation is helpful towards us being accepted into the programme.
Having experienced being a student on the SoC program, I'd be happy to try my hand at reviewing applications and supervising projects (in particular, compiler-related ones). Cheers, Max
