Come on, it is improbable that Master Simon ever read my essay... No,... no comparison. His work on contracts and the usage of FP for this funny branch of math which serves to generate (and to destroy...) *real* money, is based on a very serious formal research. (So serious that when Simon PJ presented that, people looked at him so attentively and concentrated, that I saw true physical pain on their faces, and I wondered whether it would be a bad idea to call some ambulances...)
