I'm not familiar with that convention. So far as I'm aware, the x**0=1 vs 0**y=0 conflict leads to 0**0 being best handled as undefined. That is, I've not seen any arguments supporting either solution as somehow more natural or more helpful in mathematics. </source-please> -- Live well, ~wren
