Hi Erik,
Could you use some combination of 'os' and 'arch' [0] in your cabal file to check for this, and then set a CPP define using 'CPP-options'?
To my understanding, the COff size is somethime 4 and sometime 8 on 32bit Linux. I don't think we can capture this difference with 'os' and 'arch'. --Kazu
