Some time ago a download statistic of hackage was made available, and analysed in a few ways. Googling for it still find that at a Galois web page.

I though that, since the tools to get that were there, this would be output once in a while, but it seems it hasn't been done since then.

Does anyone know if there are plans about that?

Since we moved Hackage to a new machine, the logs are stored differently. I need to get access to the machine to get the stats again. Hopefully this weekend.
