Hello everyone! The Haskell Foundation is reviving Taylor Fausak's State of Haskell Survey. It's been a few years and so we're doing it a bit differently, but the plan is to start doing this yearly again so that we can collect longitudinal data on the Haskell community and ecosystem. Please take the ~10 minutes to fill this out and share it with friends/colleagues/coworkers, whether or not they are users of Haskell. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6M3Z6NV Thanks! -Jose
Hi Jose, The question on which extensions to enable does not allow multiple answers, is that intentional? Cheers, Jaro On 12/10/25 20:59, Jose Calderon via Haskell-Cafe wrote:

Thanks Jose, Re the Q: Has upgrading GHC in the past year broken your code?, I answered No. I was disappointed there was no opportunity for a follow-up to explain: Because I haven't tried to upgrade: the risk of breaking something exceeds any 'benefit' from new 'features', none of which do I want to use.
While I completely disagree with Anthony regarding features, I do also think the option "I haven't tried to upgrade" should be present, but the issue being mostly that library churn/waiting for libraries and the "death by a thousand cuts" style of small breaking changes requiring library bumps of dependencies of dependencies of dependencies etc. On 12/11/25 03:35, anthony.d.clayden@gmail.com wrote:
