I created a pull request for the bug at the end of 2015 and short time later the author/maintainer asked me if I'm interested in taking over the maintainership.

As described in https://wiki.haskell.org/Taking_over_a_package I asked him to add my hackage account 'palik' to the maintainer group in my last message a couple of months ago and I'm going to ask you for the maintainer permissions.
