2019 State of Haskell Survey

Hi friends! I am excited to announce the third annual State of Haskell Survey. I’d appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to fill it out. Thanks! https://haskellweekly.news/survey/2019.html

There's a question about whether you contribute to projects. I contribute
issues but so far no code, so I marked no. =Maybe not a big deal, but the
survey results for that question might be easier to interpret if the
question was subdivided.

thanks for your efforts! I was not so happy in seeing a (required) email address, but I understand it is needed to prevent silly people from tampering with the survey. Minor remarks: - vim (which is not vi) is missing from the "which editor do you use" section. - both "Where do you interact with the Haskell community?" and "How did you hear about this survey?" miss "Haskell Discourse". Thanks again -F

You can take the "Vi" answer choice of the editor question to mean "Vi family", including Vim, Neovim, and so on. I added Discourse as an option for both community questions. On Fri, Nov 1, 2019, at 8:21 PM, Francesco Ariis wrote:

Then this should be made clear, for example by the survey saying “Vi or Vi derivative” instead of just “Vi”. I can only second this: Vi is not Vim. Vim is much more feature-rich to the point that I’m a happy Vim user who would never think of using Vi. With the answer being named “Vi”, probably many Vim users will not put their mark there and you’ll get distorted results. All the best, Wolfgang
