Thank you for raising this topic on the Shootout mailing-list. The website now allows for more than one program per benchmark - so it is possible to show both a more-optimised program and a more-elegant program - and even a program so elegant that it doesn't quite do the required task ;-) OTOH while we can just about decide which programs are faster, deciding which of the half-dozen alternatives is the more-elegant could soon become quite tedious. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
