With a heavy heart, I would like to inform you that Doaitse Swierstra passed away last week. After a period of illness over the last half year, he had an unfortunate fall at home that ultimately proved to be fatal.
Doaitse was a remarkable character and a passionate advocate for functional programming. I'm sure many of us have fond memories of Doaitse. He will be sorely missed.
