ANNOUNCE: Program to set the GNOME desktop background picture randomly
I've just uploaded gnome-desktop to Hackage. This periodically picks a random picture from $HOME/Pictures, and sets it as the GNOME desktop background. It does this periodically. As a result, I now see a different beautiful picture of a dragonfly every 30 seconds, without needing to wait for the screensaver to kick in. Timings and directory can be set on the command line. -- Colin Adams Preston Lancashire

Have a look at http://hackage.haskell.org/package/backdropper which does a similar thing but is not gnome specific. -- yann@kierun.org -= H+ =- www.kierun.org PGP: 009D 7287 C4A7 FD4F 1680 06E4 F751 7006 9DE2 6318
