hat error with HUnit: Variable not in scope: `TPrelude.fnegate'

I'm using HUnit (http://hunit.sf.net/) I think the snegate, gnegate, and pnegate are type specialized tracing functions. Hat can't find fnegate, and the source before rewriting points to a handle, stdout I think. Or maybe I'm just missing something? Problems building hat with ghc-5.04

hat error

I get the following error message from hat's internals: legion:haskell> hmake -hat SimonGA hat-trans SimonGA.hs Fail: AuxFixity.hs:92: Non-exhaustive patterns in case The program compiles fine under nhc and ghc without hat. Amanda I would attach the file that caused this but it's not mine - though I can ask if you need it.

reading negative Doubles

Is it possible that the instance of "read" for Doubles when using hat can't handle negative numbers? I get "Error: Prelude.read: no parse" whenever I have a negative number to read. My program works fine without hat. Amanda

ntohl / htonl missing

I get the same error from both nhc98 and ghc when trying to use hat on solaris. Also, just for future, the echo.c prog to simulate echo was missing from the scripts directory when installing hat, so I used the one from nhc98. Amanda
