Hi I'm considering whether to use Hugs in a class this spring, but it would be significantly better if the graphics library would work. Is there an ETA on when that will work ? Cheers Frank -Frank Dellaert (dellaert@cc.gatech.edu)
I would sure like an answer to this too. I continue to get requests as to when the graphics lib will work with SOE (my book). I was told many months ago that a release was imminent that would fix all problems, but I have heard nothing since then. Can someone provide an update? Thanks, -Paul Frank Dellaert wrote:

Hi, I don't want to pre-empt any more precise information from those in the know, but you might want to take a look at the Hugs entry in the recent Haskell communities report: http://www.haskell.org/communities/html/report.html#sect2.2 You'll find that the brave Hugs volunteers (TM) have bravely volunteered a tentative release date for that publication;-) Hth, Claus PS. The report is also available in other, easier to print, formats. http://www.haskell.org/communities/

Hi,
I think you should be fine for that. The Hugs98 release
is pretty much ready to go, but we'd like to have a closer
look at some of the outstanding typing-related bug reports
before making things final.
The Graphics library will have to be updated also to work
with the Hugs98 release, but if Alastair won't have the time
to put out another release, I've got the required patches
sitting on a disk.

I'm totally snowed under here (looking out the window, that's literally true :-) with trying to clear things up at Utah before returning to the UK. I'm not likely to have much free time for the next couple of months at least. -- Alastair Reid reid@cs.utah.edu http://www.cs.utah.edu/~reid/
Ok, thanks anyway Alastair, and good luck in your move to the UK. Sigbjorn, your help in following up on this would be greatly appreciated. Best, -Paul Alastair David Reid wrote:

Hi
Nov 30 came and went :-)
Since you have the patches for the Graphics library sitting on a disk, is
there a possibility to release an interim release of the Graphics library
that will work with the current version of Hugs ?
Cheers
