I've hit a regression with http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/7722 (this was working in the old 'ios' branch at http://github.com/ghc-ios) but this won't stop trivial programs running. Steve

Has anyone submitted an app using GHC-IOS?

Curious if this would be approved in the App Store especially with respect to the warnings you get when linking. Has anyone succeeded? I would be willing to do this exercise with one of my apps (simply put in a rev that adds the hello world type example) - but if someone else has done it I won't waste my time

Targeting armv7 and armv7s

Building ghc-ios after a clean git clone

I thought I'd post some information about building ghc-ios from a new git clone since there are some issues. I believe these are temporary issues and will be resolved as patches go from the ios branch to master. If you do a git clone followed by a sync-all you'll wind up with a lot of the "sub" repositories being on commits that are too new for ghc-ios. For awhile I felt like I was yak shaving but I've been able to track down commits for all the repositories that are working right now. I ended up writing a script since GHC isn't using git submodules and the sync-all script doesn't seem to support a way to specify which commits are appropriate for each of the repositories. Building ghc-ios fails with older version of hoopl

I'm building ghc-ios for the first time and ran into this: compiler/cmm/BlockId.hs:18:8: Could not find module `Compiler.Hoopl.GHC' It is a member of the hidden package `hoopl-3.8.7.3'. Use -v to see a list of the files searched for. make[1]: *** [compiler/stage1/build/.depend-v.haskell] Error 1 make: *** [all] Error 2 Installing hoopl version 3.8.7.4 doesn't help. It seems someone using ghcjs also ran into the problem: https://github.com/ghcjs/ghcjs/issues/40 I'm currently building with GHC 7.4.2 from the Haskell Platform 2012.4.0.0. Few basic questions about using IPhone 3gs.

Hi all, I've just purchase IPhone 3gs. I've not used any of the Apple's products before, and I'm not in U.S. so I've not received any help from the apple store about how to work with voiceover. I've searched around the web, and have find some useful information, like this email list. My questions are the following, they are very basic questions, but please pardon me as I've just started using the product. How I can read line by line on IPhone when reading WebPages? If I've searched useful commands for voiceover, and I want to go down line by line, as you do with the help of down arrow, how can I do that on IPhone. If I want to go back to previous screen how can I do that? For example, if I've just opened settings>general and I want to go back to the screen where all the menu items under settings are available, how can I do that? Finally, can anyone recommend me a good free tutorial on starting with IPhone 3gs? Thanks everyone, Regards, Faiz.
