Uploads to Hackage have been rather flaky since day one, in my experience. I have often had two or three timeouts or complete hangs before an attempt finally succeeds. Since Hackage is hosted on the same machine as darcs.haskell.org, which also has had numerous connection problems, I just assumed this was normal.

Shouldn't have any connection problems since we switched the routers 3 or 4 months ago. I wonder though how expensive the upload script is (it has to regenerate some things that are now quite big?)

I experienced the same thing myself on the weekend, but I don't know what's causing it. The largest generated file is 10MB in the pipe, compressing to 840KB. The machine has 1.5GB.

Seems like no one is able to upload at the moment?
