Looks like it's unmaintained, with the last commit being 2 years ago. Have yout ried getting in touch with Luke Murphy, the listed maintainer? If he's available, you may be able to get his blessing to take over the project, or if he's unresponsive, you could do a package take over and fork the existing repository. Repository and other project resources are read only.
I'd like to raise a ticket on the project, but haven't been able to.
