Control.Applicative. I can't imagine anyone will care.

The one change I'd offer is this:
instance Alternative f => Monoid (Alt f a) where mempty = Alt empty * mappend = coerce ((<|>) :: f a -> f a -> f a)*
That way it doesn't eta-expand (<|>).
