Hi all,
haskell-src is still unable to build with ghc-7.2.x, and a patch has
been available since August.
In order to fix this I'm planning to put a new release of haskell-src
on hackage with the haskell98 reference removed, and set the
maintainer to myself as part of the haskell-pkg-janitors github group
... within the next 24 hrs or so, unless anyone strongly objects (eg.
by updating the existing repo and uploading a package :).
cheers,
Conrad.

Hi,
Is there someone I can poke specifically who has the commit bit for for the haskell-src darcs repository? I would like to get one of these two patches applied - preferably the one which removes all reference to the 'haskell98' packages.
While I don't have released libraries that rely haskell98 on it, I do have build-scripts that use it to generate code, and I prefer having standard libraries installed.
Thanks, Antoine

the attached patch for haskell-src conditionally depends on haskell98 only for ghc < 7.2.1.
A similar patch was sent to libraries@ by Adam Sampson on Aug 14, removing the haskell98 dependency entirely as "Recent versions of Happy don't require it any more", which may be better.
(There has been no response to Adam's mail, perhaps listing libraries@ as maintainer is not so useful).
