Your package absolutely should go into the Haskell Platform! This is such essential functionality that we shouldn't leave it for people to find it on Hackage.

I intend to flesh out the API a bit more during the next month, so it's on par with Data.Map. If I have the energy I'll make a proposal to add it to the HP at that point.
