Yeah, that may be a good thing to consider, but for now I think it's simpler without. FunDeps are a language extension, and I also think they're rather complicated.
Multi-parameter type classes, as used in your proposal, are also a language extension. Every implementation that supports MPTC also supports fundeps. Regards, Malcolm
