cabal-make for base libs etc

I'd love to have friendlier haddock docs for the base libs and other libraries that I use & peruse. Specifically, I'd like per-entity source code links and syntax-colored source code. This sort of friendliness is what cabal-make <http://haskell.org/haskellwiki/Cabal-make> make easy & consistent. Has anyone else tried cabal-make yet? Are there any obstacles to wanting to use it?
