[bzlib] [PATCH] Fix build with base >= 4.13
https://gist.github.com/hasufell/a5f1091646d1b891e6d2a73714dbb50e Last time I pinged duncan he seemed to have forgotten it. If you don't mind sharing maintainership, please do so.
FWIW, I wrote bz2 (http://hackage.haskell.org/package/bz2) which works with GHC 8.8+ Both bz2 and bzlib implement bzip-signature (http://hackage.haskell.org/package/bzip-signature), which as of cabal-install 3.2.0.0 is a good option if you want to try bz2 "risk-free" On 4/1/20 3:51 PM, hasufell wrote:

This sounds like a NMU update. I believe that falls to hackage admins ? On Wed, Apr 1, 2020 at 4:51 PM hasufell <hasufell@posteo.de> wrote:

Hey Duncan: can you do a bug fix release for this in the next few days to suport newer ghc or explicitly authorize an nmu (non maintainer update?) More broadly: are you keen to continue maintaining tar and or bzlib? On Wed, Apr 1, 2020 at 4:51 PM hasufell <hasufell@posteo.de> wrote:

Duncan: Current intent will be to do an NMU Next Wednesday . If you choose to authorize one sooner or cut your own release please let us know On Tue, Apr 7, 2020 at 2:49 PM Carter Schonwald <carter.schonwald@gmail.com> wrote:
