This problem has been known and fixed in CVS/darcs for a while now. At last, I have created and published a patch to the stable release: ftp://ftp.cs.york.ac.uk/pub/haskell/nhc98/patch-1.18-confhc also noted on the official download page. Regards, Malcolm
