What version of Java do you have installed? I don't see these errors with any of Sun's JDK-1.1.7, IBM's JDK-1.1.8, or Sun's JDK-1.3.1 on Linux.

Ok, I've tried Kaffe 1.0.5, which reproduces the problem you saw. Kaffe 1.0.6 seems to fix the bug, so I suggest you upgrade. Regards, Malcolm
