A few years ago I'd done a bit of work in that area and talked about
it there: http://jpmoresmau.blogspot.com/2007/03/haskell-gui-in-flex.html.
So yes, you can generated JSON on the server and use it in your Flex
client to display the data.

Someone have points in mixing Flex with Haskel?? Perhaps I would be able to use Happstack as backend using JSON to talk to Flex ?
