If you close C or move it to another workspace, the resulting order will be B* A, thus reordering the other windows, defying the comment of filter.

Yay for getting this fixed! I've missed having this working, as it's so nice to be able to make terminals that pop up in a given workspace start up with the right working directory (or so using grun I can open up pdfs using kpdf without typing the full path to my pdfs). Hi, sorry for the previous one (please foget it). This one adds workspaces to Config.hs-boot. The number of workspaces may be needed in many contrib modules. By the way, it is needed by the new version of Commands.hs I'm sending. This version can be added to metamodule and thus can be tracked. Please let me know. scripting xmonad externally?

I've primarily been a ratpoison user for years, with a dalliance with wmii for a few months. I tried Xmonad over the weekend. Very nice work. The thing I'm most missing from ratpoison and wmii is an external api, which makes them extensible from external programs (and any language.) Executing "ratpoison -c <ratpoison-command>" issues the command to the running ratpoison instance. wmii has a Plan 9 interface, driven by reading to and writing from particular places in a virtual filesystem. Third-party wrappers of these facilitate scripting in various languages. Are there any plans to offer such an interface in Xmonad in the future (or am I being a dolt and it's already possible and I've just missed it)?
