Place a dock on a border between screens What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The dock's space is not accounted for, because the strut is set at the maxim extent over all screens in the relevant direction. The size of the root window is the bounding rectangle of all screens, not the size of the screen the dock is on. This means that if we try to make space for a dock that lives "between" two screens, it will actually be allocated on the last screen in that direction.

Displayed: The Gnome app performs the action but does not redraw the ui, when switching to another desktop and back the App shows the proper output. What version of the product are you using? It pastes httpcodegooglecom I've pushed a patch that changes the paste to "http;//code.google.com", which is still wrong with the ';' vs ':'. Press "Share your screen" 3. The window for selecting the window to share appears for a fraction of a second and then the hangout crashes. I am using xmonad 0.11 on Gentoo without any additional configuration changes. The same functionality works with other window managers, also other tiling ones.

I use a laptop, and sometimes have an external monitor. If I have a single workspace when I attach the second monitor, xmonad fails to start. A minimal .xmonad.hs that exhibits the problem: --- 8< --- import XMonad import XMonad.Config.Gnome main :: IO () main = do xmonad $ gnomeConfig { workspaces = ["GTD"] } --- 8< --- Procedure for reproducing: * Use the above .xmonad.hs. * Log into a GNOME+Xmonad session in wheezy. * If there are two monitors, xmonad fails to start. * If there is a single monitor, this works. If I attach a second monitor, xmonad does not crash. However, re-starting it (e.g., due to a change to .xmonad.hs) doesn't work. The error message xmonad gives when starting up: xmonad-x86_64-linux: xmonad: StackSet: non-positive argument to StackSet.new I am probably unsual in liking to create my workspaces dynamically on demand. I've added it to Prompt.Ssh instead of changing runInTerm, but it logically belongs there. patch: Add search string to X.A.GridSelect grid

I find it very convenient to be able to use GridSelect to choose an option that isn't in the original list of options. One of the uses of this is to switch to a dynamic workspace that doesn't yet exist.

Turn second display off and on. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expected: In steps 2, 4, and 6: see "DESTROYING"/"CREATING" messages in xmonad output. Actual: Only step 4 produces the expected messages. Steps 2 and 6 produce no output. What version of the product are you using? What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Running Ubuntu 10.10 under VMware Fusion under macosx 10.6 (Snow Leopard) 2. apt-get install xmonad 3. Try and copy/paste from the mac into a terminal window on Ubuntu. Doesn't matter if xmonad is running or if the session has been restarted. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Ubuntu loses track of the copy/paste buffer. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? see above. Are you using an xmonad.hs? Please attach it and the output of "xmonad --recompile". no Please provide any additional information below. The system is repaired by running "apt-get uninstall xmonad" This only uninstalls the xmonad package not it dependencies.
