Use Layout.SubLayouts as recommended in the documentation (a modifier for a ||| seperated list of layouts), and with modifiers from WindowNavigation and BoringWindows What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The combineTwo layout is not displayed properly. Hello, Whenever I approached my seamonkey window from either right or bottom, the pointer jumped to its center (which shouldn't happen when changing focus with mouse). I can only guess that a second logHook without mouseFocused was called (seamonkey specific, didn't happen for terminals windows) and the condition "is within that window already" didn't catch it due to this off-by-two-times- -the-border issue :-). darcs patch: PositionStore utility to store informati... (and 1 more)

Hi! This is now the patch bundle containing Bluetile's floating layout. It requires Daniel's extstate patch (which is not included in this bundle, see his recent e-mail for a patch). The first patch adds Util.PositionStore, which holds position and size information about a window. Having this global place to store this information, makes the floating layout much more robust and enables many features. Note that this is still missing the enhanced decoration code to be fully functional in a dual-head setup. In such a setup, you can drag windows from one screen to another which means you can drag them from one workspace to another. To handle these cases correctly, the decoration code needs some tweaks, which I will be working on submitting next. (Note that X.L.SimplestFloat also has these problems, which is why it really isn't very usable in a dual-head setup.) But apart from that, it should be fairly useful on its own. One other thing that is still missing, is a way to remove information about windows from the PositionStore, once a window is closed. I will look into that as well. Regards! This is the decoration layout modifier I use for Bluetile's floating layout. It is now a reported bug ( http://bugs.darcs.net/issue1644 ) and I'm using a workaround that will hopefully work for now.

Move focus to the next window across multiple visible workspaces

Hi, I use a multi-head display with xmonad, and I'd like to cycle through all the windows on both visible workspaces. I've tried using XMonad.Layout.WindowNavigation, but I can't seem to get it to work. It doesn't switch focus across workspaces, and the more positional L, R, U, D is really not what I'm looking for. I'd like to have it simply cycle through all the windows in both workspaces, regardless of their position relative to each other. Why does putSelection freeze? Can't see anything suspicious by looking at its source. startupHook setWMName and ewmhDesktops

Hi all, In xmonad 0.9 both setWMName and ewmhDesktops sets startupHook. The problem is that I don't know how to use them together. I've tried like it was with logHook in 0.8, but it doesn't work. , startupHook = ewmhDesktopsStartup >> setWMName "LG3D" Thanks, Henrique G. But ALL other java apps I've tested today work with this startup hook (and I'm testing many this time). The buggy app is a java web start at miglayout.com.
