[xmonad] should keyboard focus and window management focus be separate?

The discussion around the patch for issue 177 is leading me to suspect that xmonad may need to have different focus indicators for keyboard focus and window management focus. Most of the time, there'd be no difference but when a window is offered focus with WM_TAKE_FOCUS it might decline to take focus or even place the focus within a different top level window. It is desirable, however, to treat the window as the focused window for the purposes of window manipulation. Does anyone know if any other tiling window managers have tackelled this issue and what they do in this case? -- Geoff Reedy
