Comment #9 on issue 447 by allber...@gmail.com: installation breaks copy/paste feature of vmware-tools https://code.google.com/p/xmonad/issues/detail?id=447 The vmtoolsd process (and another one running under root but I think that should be started at boot) is all that shows in "ps", but my MATE session shows that what is actually run to start it is /usr/bin/vmware-user-suid-wrapper.
