Now that the extstate patch has been included in the core, I have prepared an updated version of this floating layout patch bundle. It also now contains some code to remove entries from the PositionStore again, once a window is destroyed (using DestroyWindowEvent as Adam suggested). So this should be ready to go into contrib now and provide a usable floating layout. Cheers! Jan
