ghc's only going to get confused if they're removed *during* compilation. Otherwise, the worst that happens is ghc has to recreate them during xmonad --recompile
And xmonad's recompilation checking only compares when the generated executable and the xmonad.hs were modified. Not the .o or .hi file. -- Adam
