I use Launchy: http://www.launchy.net/ . I’ve only seen the into video for Enso Launcher, but it looks a little faster to use than Enso Launcher. You needn’t specify the verb “open” to run a program, you just begin typing the program name. In addition, it supports plugins, so you can do other tasks such as performing calculations right in the Launchy bar.
