Guess until someone fixes xinerama, we're stuck using older xorgs.
I adapted the instructions above for ubuntu jaunty:

You can use Matrox's {Dual,Triple}Head2Go [1] in order to connect multiple monitors to one graphics card. Afterwards, LayoutScreens [2] is your friend.
