After switching to the last version of libghc-xmonad-contrib-dev, XMonad.Hooks.ManageDocks.avoidStruts seems to think there's a dock on the left of the screen. It correctly avoids drawing windows over xmobar and trayer (running on the top of my screen), but also inserts a gap on the left that I can't explain. Please find attached my xmonad.hs. The same config worked well with previous installed version (libghc6-xmonad-contrib-dev 0.9.1-1+b1).
thanks for reporting the bug. Do you happen to have a non-rectangular screen, e.g. two screens of different size? There was a discussion about that on the xmonad mailing list. And maybe someone on the xmonad mailing list can help?
