Are you sure that Spencer is copyright holder and maintainer of this code?

No, but I seem to recall Spencer being listed as copyright holder in all the files that I've seen (admittedly, not much), e.g. the KDE and GNOME config files. If that's incorrect, I can send an updated patch when I get home.
