Comment #3 on issue 409 by nwfilardo: Xmonad does not have a shutdown hook http://code.google.com/p/xmonad/issues/detail?id=409 I use it to kill xmobars on the way out. It seemed better to provide a shutdown hook invoked by the standard restart binding code than to override it.
