Looks like hackage and darcs.haskell.org are both back up. For future reference, we've changed xmonad's dependency policies such that one should be able to use the latest released version of X11 to build xmonad. If there are docs that say otherwise, please let us know and we'll update them. Cheers, Spencer Janssen
